Nothing else fits so much into a morning's cruise. Harbour towns, sheltered coves and long open runs of blue sit within an easy passage of one another, which is why the charter season is built around these waters — broadly May through September, when the sea is warm and the evenings are long.

It is also where most of our fleet lies. The yachts listed here run from flybridge motor yachts taken out by the day to large motor catamarans and full-week superyachts, so the choice is less about what is free and more about the pace you want. Tell your broker the coast you have in mind and the dates; the berth she leaves from is arranged around you.

Frequently asked questions

When is the Mediterranean charter season?

Broadly May to September. July and August are the warmest, the busiest and the most expensive; June and September are quieter, the water is still warm and the same yachts are easier to secure.

What yachts can I charter in the Mediterranean?

We list 10 yachts in the Mediterranean, from 21.3 to 55.2 metres — motor yachts and catamarans. They run from Galeon at the compact end to Raja at the top. This page is our own list rather than the whole market — if nothing here fits, a broker will bring you further options.

How many guests can we bring?

The yachts we list in the Mediterranean take from 8 to 12 guests, depending on the yacht. Part of that range is deck capacity rather than berths: Galeon is a day charter and sleeps far fewer than she carries. Across the fleet here there are 2–6 cabins.

Can we charter for a single day, or only by the week?

Both: rates in the Mediterranean are quoted by the week and by the day, depending on the yacht. Tell us the length of charter you want and we will show you only what matches.

How much does a charter in the Mediterranean cost?

Rates in the Mediterranean start from €170,000 per week and €12,000 per day. One yacht is quoted on request. A weekly fee covers the yacht and her crew; fuel, berthing, food and drink are billed separately, usually through an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) of around 30% of the fee. Day rates work differently: fuel and berthing for the agreed route are normally inside the price, with catering and drinks quoted on top.

Is anything available for my dates?

Every yacht listed in the Mediterranean is currently open for charter. Availability moves quickly in high season — send us your dates and we will confirm them, and suggest comparable yachts if they are gone.

How do I book a charter in the Mediterranean?

Send us your dates, your party size and a rough idea of the route. A broker replies with availability, a firm quote and a draft itinerary. Weekly charters are contracted on the standard MYBA agreement, with a deposit on signature and a preference sheet — food, drink, allergies, celebrations — before you board.
