Fuel, the crew of seven, passenger insurance, berthing, welcome drinks, the water toys carried on board and the spa are all covered by the hourly rate for AK Royalty. Catering, alcohol, guest transfers, a DJ or show programme, themed styling and a photographer are arranged on request and quoted with the booking.

Yes — she holds the licences for the whole of the UAE, and Abu Dhabi and Yas Marina are a regular run, particularly over Grand Prix weekend. Longer passages to the neighbouring Gulf states — Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman — and into the Indian Ocean are possible on a multi-day charter, priced individually.

AK Royalty measures 41.4 m / 136 ft overall. At 35 knots flat out she is quick enough that a bay further along the coast stays a decision rather than a plan.

AK Royalty works the waters off the UAE. Over a few hours the route matters less than the setting, so the captain will suggest the stretch that looks best at that time of day and keep the yacht where the light and the shelter are.

AK Royalty was built by Palmer Johnson in 2009. She was most recently refitted in 2023, so her interiors and systems are newer than her launch year suggests. Her interior is by Nuvolari Lenard.

The headline items are flybridge jacuzzi, beach club, water slide, sea pool, sun deck bar and jet ski & Seabobs. It is worth asking about the rest — crews carry more than the brochure lists, and equipment that is not on board can usually be hired in for a specific charter.

AK Royalty starts at €12,000 per hour. Rates move with the date — public holidays, race weekends and the peak weekends of the cool season are quoted higher.
